Jada Projects Limited were appointed by Clare County Council to deliver the construction of 15 new dwellings and an adjacent public car park in the heart of Sixmilebridge town. The development was carried out under the Public Works Contract for Building Works and was fully compliant with BCAR regulations. The residential component consisted of two housing blocks, comprising 4 no. three-bedroom homes, and 11 no. two-bedroom homes. The project also included all associated site development and boundary works, including Formation of new access gates, Construction of boundary walls and fencing, Installation of sheds and storage facilities, Tarmacadam surfacing and hard landscaping, Extensive site railings for both public and private boundaries. A new Homezone area was created to promote safe, shared use of space for residents, alongside soft landscaping works and tree planting throughout the site. We engaged our trusted supply chain of specialist subcontractors for all civil, mechanical, and electrical installations, ensuring a coordinated and efficient delivery across all disciplines. A dedicated subcontractor was also appointed for the construction of a significant retaining wall, which was a key feature of the development. Midway through the programme, the scope was expanded to include the construction of a car park comprising over 40 spaces, as well as a new playground, bollards, bicycle stands, paving, line marking, and additional landscaping elements. These enhancements resulted in a contract sum increase of nearly €1 million, reflecting the added scope.

Throughout the project, we maintained close coordination with all relevant utility providers, including Irish Water, ESB, and EIR, ensuring timely service connections and minimal disruption to the surrounding area.

The project was completed successfully within the agreed 18-month programme, delivering a high-quality, community-focused housing development that will serve the residents of Sixmilebridge for years to come.
